Community Moderator

Our Discord server is where most of our community learns and asks for help. Moderators keep it a place where beginners feel safe asking their first question.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep conversations friendly, safe, and on topic
  • Enforce the server rules fairly and the same way for everyone
  • Respond to reports from members and step in when a conversation goes wrong
  • Welcome new members and point them to the right channels
  • Work with the rest of the moderation team, and write down decisions so we stay consistent

What We’re Looking For

  • You’re active in our Discord server. If you aren’t yet, join and spend some time there first.
  • You stay calm, and you can cool down a heated conversation
  • You can tell a strong disagreement from harassment, and act on it consistently
  • You keep private what you see in reports and moderator channels
