Technician
Technicians are the first people our members talk to when they need help. You’ll answer questions, fix problems, and make sure the harder ones reach the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Answer support questions from members on Discord and by email
- Help members with their VPS and Library of Code accounts
- Look into problems, fix what you can, and hand the rest to the right person with clear notes
- Write and update how-to guides and runbooks
What We’re Looking For
- You’re comfortable with Linux on the command line
- You know the basics of networking, like DNS, SSH, and ports, or you’re keen to learn them
- You’re patient and friendly, including with beginners
- You can explain a fix in plain language
Levels
You don’t need to pick a level. We’ll place you after we talk.
| Level | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Technician I | You handle common questions and requests, and ask for help on harder ones. |
| Technician II | You handle most issues on your own, including the tricky ones, and help newer technicians. |

You’ll report to Rahul, our Manager of Support Operations. Meet them and the rest of our team on our Leadership page.
